Spry-Debugging Scripts through Visual Studio

Relates to versions - 1.6.6+

This article divulges that Spry IDE doesn't have debugging capabilities. For debugging purpose, the workaround is to use Visual Studio.

Procedure

1. Go to Spry-Scripting-> Right Click on Scripting-> File Synchronisation-> Options

2. In the Options Menu, please tick Enabled, paste the directory path where the file needs to be stored on the desktop and then select Force Spry-> Filesystem

3. Go to Visual Studio, create a new project, select class library and you can bring the spry filesystem into visual studio for debugging purpose.

4. Once debugging is completed, please go to Spry-Scripting-> Right Click on Scripting-> File Synchronisation-> Options-> In the Options Menu, please tick Enabled, paste the directory path where the debugging visual studio project/file has been stored on the desktop and then select Force Filesystem-> Spry

The above mentioned steps once completed will assist in debugging all the data flows scripts of Spry Application.
