Using Design Block Models in Block Model Interrogations

Design block models, in addition to allowing block models to be visualized in Spry, give new interrogation capabilities. In particular they allow for use of expressions when interrogating block models to write to design attributes. 

It may be desirable to use the same expression system to write values directly to Datatables. This article outlines how to do this. 

1. Open the "Design" section of Spry from the Project Explorer

   

2. Import a Block Model into Design

   

3. Set up the Block Model Interrogation settings under the Properties for this Block Model

  4. Right Click on the Datatable you wish to use these settings for and Select Setup > Block Model Interrogation

 5. In the Block Model Interrogation Settings Select "Design" instead of "File". This will use the interrogation settings from the Design Block Model as in Step 3. above.
